WKYU (Bowling Green, Kentucky) to Broadcast THE SPIRIT OF NEW WINE

 
Beginning Monday, March 22 at 9:00 p.m., viewers in south central Kentucky will get a taste of the documentary THE SPIRIT OF NEW WINE. WKYU-TV, an educational PBS station based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, will broadcast the popular program about the spiritual and cultural connotations of wine for three consecutive Monday nights during the station’s evening programming.

THE SPIRIT OF NEW WINE is an unconventional documentary that takes viewers on a fascinating journey to the heart of California’s wine country. The documentary focuses on wine’s association with aspects of popular culture like cuisine, health, art, nature, leisure and love, while highlighting individual and collective human values related to the symbolism of wine. THE SPIRIT OF NEW WINE contains breathtaking landscapes, 13 original songs and dozens of interviews with vintners, winemakers and wine lovers.

Licensed to Western Kentucky University, WKYU-TV reaches an audience of more than 250,000 people in 11 Kentucky counties. WKYU-TV provides a full range of programs, including locally produced informational, public affairs and college sports programming, documentaries, and kids’ programs that provide a safe haven for children and parents.
